RedView Nucleic Acid Stain

RedView Nucleic Acid Stain

$120.35

RedView Nucleic Acid Stain is a fluorescent dye for post-electrophoresis staining of DNA and RNA. It is formulated as a safe, high-sensitivity replacement for ethidium bromide (EtBr). RedView provides stronger signals than EtBr with similar excitation/emission characteristics, making it compatible with standard UV transilluminators and imaging systems.

Features:

  • EtBr Replacement: Sensitive, stable fluorescence dye designed to substitute toxic ethidium bromide.
  • Non-Toxic & Non-Mutagenic: Ames-tested at working dilutions and confirmed free of mutagenicity, offering a safer alternative for lab personnel.
  • High Sensitivity: Enhanced detection of dsDNA, ssDNA and RNA, providing stronger signals than EtBr.
  • Spectral Compatibility: Excitation/emission spectrum similar to EtBr, fully compatible with existing UV transilluminators and imaging equipment.
  • Cost-Effective: Supplied as a 10,000× stock solution, enabling economical use (one vial stains over 100 gels).

Applications:

  • Staining of dsDNA, ssDNA, and RNA.
  • Use in agarose and polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis.
  • Staining using either the gel staining method (stain before electrophoresis) or the soaking staining method (stain after electrophoresis).

Why Choose Our RedView Nucleic Acid Stain?

  • Safety Profile: It is a safe, non-toxic nucleic acid dye. It is a unique lipophilic macromolecule that does not penetrate cell membranes to enter cells. Furthermore, it is non-volatile, non-sublimable, and not inhaled by humans.
  • Spectral Properties & Compatibility: It has the same spectral properties as ethidium bromide (EB). It can be detected under ultraviolet (UV) or blue light excitation without needing to change filters or viewing equipment (compatible with common UV gel imagers).
  • Ease of Use: It has good thermal stability and can be added directly to hot agarose solutions, and compatible with all commonly used electrophoresis buffer solutions.
